Windfield is ISO 14000:2004 Certified. ISO Certification requirements include an extensive Environmental Management System to be in place that applies to all phases of business and allows the continual improvement of business processes as they apply to the environment.     See ISO Certificate

Windfield is currently in the process of becoming R2 Certified. The Responsible Recycling Practices for Electronics Recyclers (R2) standards were developed by the EPA working closely with stakeholders, including recyclers, equipment manufacturers, representatives of state government, trade associationsand public interest groups to develop these standards. The certification program is accredited by the American National Standards Institute-American Society of Quality National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

In addition, Windfield is now e-Steward Certified. This industry wide program is an extension of the ISO program in which participants adhere to an extensive set of requirements and procedures that result in the collection, transportation and processing of electronic wastes in a globally responsible manner, ultimately preventing the toxic materials in electronics from continuing to cause long term harm to human health and the environment, particularly in countries with developing economies. The prestigious e-Steward certification is the product of the Basil Action Network, BAN, an organization dedicated to preventing the globalization of toxic waste through programs such as e-Stewards.     See e-Stewards Certificate

It is vitally important to Windfield, our customers, our community and our environment that the materials we process, whether it be eWaste, scrap metals, cardboard, plastic or precious metals, be handled properly and responsibly. The R2 and e-Stewards programs specifically address the challenges faced by processors of eWaste. The ISO 14000:2004 program provides the framework for a standardized environmental management system and extends to all phases of the business process. Overall, these programs allow Windfield to provide the highest level of service to our customers and still serve the greater needs of the environment, the community and our employees.
