Demanufacturing

Our 4,000 square foot deassembly facility breaks units down to basic components which are then separated, categorized and resold or recycled depending on client's requirements.

Resale

Many electronic products include subassemblies and/or components and chips that are sought after in various after markets. Where acceptable to the client, such units are sold for reuse rather than recycling.

Recycling

Units for recycling are categorized and are prepared for transport to smelters or refiners for those materials. Certain materials are held and prepared for refining at our Lawrence, MA facility.

Secure Destruction

In many instances, clients may require the secure destruction of material. A client may not want his material appearing in any secondary markets and request the material be shredded. Disk drives are often shredded to keep sensitive data safe.

Zero Landfill

All of our processes are designed with the goal of 'zero landfill'. We not only recycle the more valuable components and materials, but we do the same for the plastic, cardboard, packaging materials and other not so valuable byproducts of demanufacturing.

End of Life Programs

Manufacturers, Distributors and Leasing Companies among others are finding it necessary in today's eco-conscious market to offer 'end of life programs' to their customers. Windfield is ready to design and implement a program that fits your company's needs.

Excess / Obsolete Inventory

Many manufacturers find it necessary to clear out excess and/or obsolete inventory. To most, liquidating product to a secondary market only depletes their own market share resulting in lost opportunities. Worse yet, if product defects are found later in the product's life, they are still liable. Let Windfield assist your company in finding an ecologically friendly solution, a solution that keeps your product out of the marketplace AND out of the landfill while still providing a reasonable return.
