Why Windfield?                                                   Windfield Alloy Inc.

30 years of recycling towards a sustainable future

Established in 1978, Windfield has always been at the forefront of recycling.  Initially our focus was the refining and recovery of precious metals from electronic and manufacturing scrap.  We implemented processes that effectively eliminated the emmissions losses associated with other less costy processes.  As our customer base grew, we realized that their recycling needs included materials that we did not handle and that our own operations were generating similar recyclable materials  In 1996 we expanded our operations into non-ferrous materials and shortly afterwards added a logger that allowed us to process ferrous material as well.  Our goal is to provide our customers with a single source solution to their recycling needs.  There are many recyclers that claim the same honor, but for the most part they are simply aggregators.  They accumulate material and sell it to other recyclers who in turn sell it to larger recyclers where it eventually goes to the final smelters and processors.  We are that last step before the smelter.  We process over a million pounds of material a week.  By dealing with Windfield, our customers are assured of receiving the highest return on their recyclable materials and they are equally assured of the disposition of those materials.

We are among the few recyclers that are ISO 14001 certified.  This certification demonstrates our commitment to the environment and our customers.  All of our processes are compliant with EPA, State and Local mandates.
Copies of licenses and permits are available upon request.

Most scrap, depending on the complexity of the material, can be prepared, processed  and settlement made within 10 working days.  If you prefer, following an analysis of your material, we can make an outright offer, usually within 24 hours.

For customers with special needs, we can design a program that fits those needs.  In today's litigious world, companies are constantly aware of their liablities, especially if their waste is mishandled.  We provide cerificates of destruction when needed and invite our customers to personally verify destruction if they feel it necessary.
We welcome all of our customers to audit our facilities and processes.
